We can all appreciate the wonderful works of the Holy Spirit shown on the day of Pentecost as well as His work in our present everyday lives. It was also a day of amazing signs and wonders of the Holy Spirit's gifts. It was the day when believers first began being indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the deeper meaning of Pentecost is that it marked the day when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was done across believers in the early church. While none of us will become completely sinless, we know that the Holy Spirit can help us in our struggles against sin. The more He convicts us, and we listen, the better we will become at avoiding sin. When we think about sin or are about to sin, the Holy Spirit will convict us. We never need to be scared or to doubt because the Holy Spirit is with us every day and He is guiding us on the right path. The Holy Spirit helps us to complete these responsibilities and to live in a way that brings God glory. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, and Jesus gifted us with the Holy Spirit to complete the work He has given us to do.Įach of us is a unique individual with unique responsibilities that God has given us.
